Increase your ROI through Management Involvement & Training Certifications
Dave Mattson will share best practices on how to increase your ROI through a process that combines management involvement or buy in and training certifications. In a typical scenario, employees who go through a training program go back to their jobs and routines and there is very little impact from the coursework. Management involvement is the key to making training stick. An engaged management understands what new competencies will do for the bottom-line including uncovering skill gaps in required areas. Management involvement means informed employees who recognize what a professional certification will do for their career which ultimately increases the adoption of learning.

What exactly do we mean by brain science anyway? Join us to hear practical examples that you can apply in your programs. During this introductory session, we’ll review current research on brain science from fields such as cognitive psychology and neuroscience; and we’ll examine how the findings apply to online learning design.

Key takeaways include:

Anticipating Learning in 2030
We live in an interesting time for training and education. Thanks to a slew of new—or at least, newly accessible—technologies, we can see what the future holds for training and education, even though the current state of the art is a long way from that. In this talk, we’ll look at key learning technologies, discuss what they mean, and look at how and how not to use them. Then, we will try to paint a picture of what the world of training will look like a decade or so in the future, and talk about the implications.

Transforming the Learning Eco-System at S&P Global Ratings
As innovation shifts from financial product engineering to financial transaction technology, banks are facing steep competition from technology companies. Similarly, credit ratings agencies are increasingly competing against big data firms in the production of ratings.

As S&P Global Ratings transforms into a 21st century digital powerhouse, the production of high quality ratings still requires the ability of people to develop robust criteria, synthesize vast amounts of data and use their judgment to generate unique insights that increase transparency and drive growth in the global financial markets. S&P Global Ratings has articulated a strategic goal of developing a learning organization in order to meet the challenges of the future. To do this, we have begun a complete overhaul of the learning environment to accelerate employee learning and growth.

Join us in the session as we will discuss how to:
  • Move from a traditional training function to a state-of-the-art, employee centric learning eco-system
  • Gain buy-in from senior leaders along the journey
  • Map the development of a new learning ecosystem
